About The Position

Burial Beer Co is looking for a service oriented team player to join our Front of House team at the Forestry Camp Taproom. Located on historic grounds, with plenty of room to spread out and explore, the Forestry Camp Taproom experience features over 24 taps, a full service kitchen highlighting approachable American dishes, cocktails, and a highly-curated selection of wine. Our support team members provide vital bar assistance, drop food and drinks to customers, provide customer service and help retrieve and clean service wares. This support role shares typical bar assistance, bussing and food service responsibilities. Advancement to bartending is not guaranteed and is based on taproom need, tenure, performance, and availability.

Requirements

  • Previous FOH restaurant/bar experience is a plus
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holiday weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift kegs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must pass a background check prior to employment
  • Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling throughout the shift.
  • Ability to navigate quickly and safely in crowded or confined spaces.
  • Comfortable working in varying environments, including warm or cold conditions
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct customer service to patrons of the venue during visits to drop food or drinks, collect service ware, or engage in communication
  • Report concerns and compliments to food and bartending teams from customers or own observations
  • Collect and ensure cleanliness of plateware and glassware and report any issues to manager
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishwasher weekly by disassembling and cleaning components
  • Clean trash and debris around the property as needed
  • Empty trash and recycling when full
  • Change kegs when volume allows
  • Communicate with management/bartenders about the state of the taproom and report any issues that need to be addressed
  • Relay information to bartenders regarding customers, especially those engaging in prohibited activities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the company, brand, and beers so you can provide informed responses to customers if asked.
  • Complete side work tasks as assigned
  • Placing and replacing silverware as needed.
  • Delivering beverages from the bartender if needed.
  • Stocking serving stations
  • Removing guests’ dirty dishes and utensils.
  • Delivering used dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Clearing tables as guests complete their meals and preparing tables for next guests
  • Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Performing closing activities such as cleaning chairs and tables, stacking chairs, preparing stations for the morning shift
