The Armed Services YMCA, the oldest military support organization in the U.S., is a top-rated military nonprofit dedicated to "Strengthening Our Military Family®" since 1861. Through its 12 branches and 23 affiliate partners, it serves 87 military installations and facilities nationwide, providing hands-on, innovative, and specialized programs and support services to military service members and their families at no or low cost. This position is for the Virginia Beach branch. The Food Program Coordinator will execute day-to-day duties including sorting, stocking, and purchasing food for the Patriot’s Pantry and branch operations, oversee periodic volunteers and food distribution initiatives, and deliver excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing resources effectively to fill the pantry with healthy food for those in need. This part-time role requires approximately 15 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with very rare Saturday or special event requirements. Some flexibility in the daily schedule is available. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of military families, such as a retiree or military spouse.
