About The Position

Aramark Healthcare+ is searching for a Food Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day food production operations at Tewksbury Hospital, located in Tewksbury, MA. Reporting to the Food Service Director, the Food Production Manager plans, administers, and directs all activities related to culinary and food production operations, complying with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare+, regulatory agencies, and the client. Leads the production for patient feeding. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Food Service Management experience required.
  • Current SERV Safe Manager level certification or willing to get certified within first month of employment.
  • Strong culinary background and expertise is required in order to enhance the quality of food served.
  • Proficiency with Computers including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines are essential
  • Must be organized, demonstrate initiative and have ability to diagnose current state and achieve process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal food quality and meal service.
  • Drives patient and customer satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding.
  • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Manages food cost, procurement, and controls waste.
  • Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of the Food Service Supervisors and/or front-line staff regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
  • Manages and controls labor, resources, and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, staffing levels, and cost control within budgetary guidelines.
  • Responsible for scheduling and managing food service activities in compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ food service systems.
  • Utilize customer feedback to respond to customer/patient needs and to improve services.
