Under the direction of the Dining and Residence Lead, this role assists with and coordinates all aspects of dining hall operations and housekeeping for all residence halls. The associate serves as the lead in the absence of the DRS lead, assisting with daily oversight of staff, delegating tasks, monitoring work flow, and ensuring operational standards are consistently met. This position performs specific hands-on duties related to dining hall operations, including creating or altering menus and food preparation for groups of up to 100 individuals, managing food inventory, adhering to proper food handling and food safety procedures, and maintaining cleanliness of the dining hall. The role also supports scheduling and shift coordination, supply ordering and vendor coordination, and assists with opening and end-of-season closing procedures. The associate delegates tasks and provides oversight of temporary and student employees as needed, or in the absence of the DRS lead. Additionally, the role performs hands-on duties related to residence hall housekeeping, such as sweeping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and cleaning bedding and linens. The associate provides exceptional customer service to all guests, attends and participates in meetings, provides updates and reports, and identifies and communicates issues related to dining and residence hall operations. This is a seasonal appointment from early spring to late fall, located at Put-In-Bay, Ohio.
