About The Position

The Food Prep position at Store 4707227 in Barrington, New Hampshire is a part-time role with weekend availability. This role is responsible for ensuring food items are stocked, displayed attractively, and priced correctly, while maintaining high standards of customer service and a clean work environment. The position involves food merchandising, customer interaction, facility maintenance, and administrative tasks, all performed with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Ability to work as scheduled including arriving to work on time.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to perform the four (4) basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly.
• Completing build-to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise.
• Maintaining inventory by checking in delivery, pricing items, and stocking merchandise according to schematic.
• Validating deliveries by verifying invoices and reviewing discrepancies with the Store Manager.
• Preparing displays by assembling, dating, and price marking in-store displays.
• Rotating food items, monitoring quality and freshness to protect customers from illness.
• Monitoring and maintaining the food preparation area and display cases to attract and retain customers.
• Assisting in training new associates, with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
• Monitoring and organizing inventory to prevent stockouts.
• Providing prompt, excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner.
• Greeting customers as they enter the area and thanking them as they leave.
• Resolving or assisting to resolve routine customer concerns within established guidelines.
• Reporting to work on time and following the dress and appearance code.
• Preparing and serving quality food and beverages to satisfy customer needs.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Dusting and/or washing windows, counters, displays, store areas, and bathrooms.
• Picking up and disposing of trash, litter, or debris.
• Inspecting store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining food service equipment.
• Attending job-related meetings.
• Fostering a spirit of cooperation to maintain intradepartmental work flow.
• Complying with company policies and procedures.
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performing all duties with minimal supervision.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
