About The Position

Join an energetically, dynamic food and beverage team that is passionate about providing delicious and diverse cuisine in a fun, fast-paced resort environment. As a food and beverage line server, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverage items to guests in a courteous and timely manner. This is a customer-facing position which requires a high level of exceptional customer service on.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Resort certification on any necessary equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and employees alike. Greet and welcome guests and employees and assist with their inquiries as needed.
  • Serves salads, vegetables, meat, breads, soups and sauces, proportions desserts, and fills beverage cups and glasses as indicated by customer.
  • Assists with preparing food as needed. Adds relishes and garnishes to various dishes as designated by plating profile. Cleans, scrubs and polishes counters, steam tables, and other equipment.
  • Replenishes food at server stations. Brews coffee and tea. Replenishing kitchen items when inventory becomes low.
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Meet customer service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort guests at all times.
  • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
  • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
  • Drive in accordance with the law and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort policies.
