About The Position
Join CentraCare's Nutrition Services team and play an important role in supporting the health and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff. As a Food Prep Associate, you will help prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience. This position works closely with chefs and kitchen staff to prepare menu items, maintain food safety standards, and support daily kitchen operations. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required upon hire.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification within six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of institutional, hospital, restaurant, or food service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and meal service.
- Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and production standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and workspaces.
- Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
- Support patient safety initiatives and Family Centered Care principles.
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining kitchen supplies.
- Perform other kitchen and nutrition services duties as assigned.
