About The Position
This part-time position, Monday – Friday, is responsible for food pantry donation pickups and setting up for the Breakfast feeding program and other feeding programs as needed. The role also involves helping to maintain a consistent state of cleanliness and organization of the food pantry, keeping accurate donation inventory, and maintaining The Salvation Army vehicle.
Requirements
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to drive and obey all traffic laws.
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
Responsibilities
- Picks up food and other donations from various vendors.
- Assists with food programs such as community Breakfast, food pantry, and pop-up feeding events.
- Weighs all food pickups and record data to logs.
- Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
- Schedules routine maintenance of The Salvation Army vehicle to ensure safety of passengers and long life of vehicle.
