About The Position

This position is responsible for: Responsible for the food pantry and other donation pickups, which includes maintaining a consistent state of cleanliness and order in all areas, keeping an accurate count of donation inventory, maintaining Salvation Army vehicles.

Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to drive and obey all traffic laws.
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, lifting, and walking on a frequent change basis.
Moderate amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) frequently.
High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred, or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid Driver’s License.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Completes a daily pre inspection sheet prior to pickups.
Picks up food and other donations from various vendors.
Weighs all food pickups and record data to logs.
Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
Schedules routine maintenance of The Salvation Army vehicle to ensure safety of passengers and long life of vehicle.
Washes and cleans vehicle regularly.
