Food Operations Manager - Premium Airport Lounge
About The Position
SodexoMagic has an opportunity for a Food & Beverage Operations Manager at John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) within the exclusive AA/BA lounges. Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. Requirements
- Previous food and beverage experience within luxury hotels, restaurants or similar upscale hospitality venue
- Work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years minimum management experience
- 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Responsibilities
- Have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
- Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
- Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
- Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff
- Ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs
