Assists in serving food and clean up after meal periods.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CT Class 2 License with Passenger endorsement or CT Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Class B with Passenger endorsement license required.
• Clean driving record for a 3-year period.

Responsibilities

• Transports food, supplies and equipment via vehicle to other locations or areas within the Hospital for catering functions.
• Assists in the serving of hot and cold food and handles such food according to strict procedures and departmental codes to avoid contamination.
• Delivers patient food trucks to specified units.
• Maintains vehicles so they remain clean, sanitary and safe.
• Completes pre and post trip vehicle inspections for assigned shifts.
• Transports vehicle to and from maintenance when requested by management.
• Reports all accidents and safety concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Reviews provided vehicle documentation to ensure it is present and valid.
• Attends and participates in department meetings and in-services to promote continuous quality improvement for self and the department.
