About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for providing fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers. The Associate will assist the Food Lion To-Go Lead in maintaining standards according to the Food Lion standard practice manual and maximizing sales through excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to shop multiple customer orders using the designated tools and equipment.
  • Ability to recognize or differentiate between all types of produce carried in the store, including differences between varieties of similar classes of products.
  • Ability to substitute items when requested.
  • Ability to scan, bag, and label purchases efficiently and accurately, while following established company policy and procedure.
  • Ability to verify all customer IDs presented and observe store policies pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to assist customers picking up orders.
  • Ability to complete Accountability Form from end to end process.
  • Ability to be courteous and helpful to other associates.
  • Ability to wear the Food Lion uniform with apron, complete with name badge, when on duty.
  • Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code.
  • Ability to control store’s expenses through proper use of store supplies.
  • Ability to adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
  • Ability to observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents.
  • Ability to notify QA of any cleaning issues or maintenance required for To-Go area and equipment.
  • Must successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses.
