About The Position

Lincoln Tech’s Custom Training division is seeking a passionate Food Industry Technology (FIT) Instructor to deliver hands-on, student-centered training using industry-leading curricula, real-world projects, and innovative instructional methods. The instructor will help shape the future workforce in food processing, manufacturing, and related fields.

Requirements

Hands-on electrical, mechanical, and mechatronics experience in the food processing or related manufacturing fields.
Proficiency in mechatronics systems, ladder logic programming, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting and instruction.
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, data networking, or similar technologies is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
Demonstrated enthusiasm, reliability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Associate / Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Drafting Design, Manufacturing Technology) or equivalent industry experience.

Nice To Haves

OEM or equivalent industry training is highly valued.
Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience is preferred.
Ability to engage students and adapt to different learning needs.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging instruction in classrooms, labs, and partner facilities using presentations, group work, simulations, and practical labs.
Facilitate student learning by organizing clear objectives, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and adapting to diverse learning styles.
Mentor and support students through academic advisement, tutoring, and skills enhancement—motivating them to achieve their goals.
Develop and enhance curriculum by creating learning aids, assessments, and contributing to ongoing curriculum reviews.
Collaborate with industry partners and internal teams to ensure training meets real-world needs and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate records for attendance, grades, and student progress, and communicate concerns proactively.
Promote safety and compliance in all learning environments, following company and regulatory guidelines.
