About The Position

The Demo Lead is responsible for providing exceptional retail Customer Service. They are responsible for executing and maintaining product demos from start to finish that are up to Plum Market’s standards. The ideal candidate is passionate and excited about organic, natural and local products, able to showcase this passion to the general public, models and provides exceptional Customer Service, is self-motivated and able to work independently, values inclusion and works to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed and every voice is heard, loves a challenge and the satisfaction that comes from meeting it, and inspires people to want to be their best selves.

Requirements

  • Passion for Customer Service.
  • Passion and excitement about products being demoed and dedication to continually learning more about the artisanal foods we sell.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Detail oriented nature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work mid shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
  • Comfortable with doing light cooking at a demo table or demo station.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product samples, coupons, informational materials, or other incentives to encourage guests to buy products.
  • Set up and arrange displays or demonstration areas to attract the attention of prospective Guests.
  • Familiarize oneself with the product sell sheet to properly represent the product and the brand that you are demonstrating.
  • Record and report demonstration-related information to provide to the Demo Coordinator.
  • Give exceptional Service to our Customers both external and internal.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitized work area with food safety being of the upmost importance.
  • Maintain demo equipment, props. supplies, signage and collateral.
  • Create, Execute, Learn, Teach, Follow up.
  • Communicate effectively with Customers, Team Members, Store Leadership and Director Group.
  • Potentially leading a small in-store team to uphold demo standards, all SOPs and give great Customer Service.
  • Adhere to all Plum Market policies and standard operating procedures.
