About The Position

Transport and deliver all products from the Distribution Center or Terminal to the various store locations in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements

• High School, GED, or equivalent required
• Eligible for interstate driving required
• Minimum 2 years experience and 130,000 verifiable tractor trailer miles required OR successful completion of the Driver Trainee Program
• Class A CDL required
• Valid Medical Examiners Certificate (medical card) in accordance with DOT Guidelines required
• Commute distance must be less than 1 hour and 15 minutes from work location

Responsibilities

• Must consistently demonstrate respectful and professional behavior including interactions between customers and Sheetz employees.
• Inspect truck and trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips and submit written report on the condition of the truck-trailer at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including, but not limited to; driver’s log, mileage records, and Bill of Lading .
• Report all highway safety hazards noted in route, accidents involving driver or company equipment, and delays due to break-downs, weather or traffic conditions .
• Load and unload product in a manner that ensure safety and minimal risk of damage to product. Verify that product is being held and delivered at appropriate temperatures to maintain product integrity, appearance and safety.
