About The Position

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit Loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ), Complex Structure, and State Pay Differential. Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

Requirements

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
For facilities that sell firearms, the position requires successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, the position may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicating business objectives to teams effectively.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
Manages and supports customer service initiatives (e.g., store of the community, community outreach programs), ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements.
Manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses in the designated business area to confirm they are indexed to sales.
Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring associates, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, communicating expectations consistently and effectively, promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace, and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
