The Food & Consumables Coach leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, providing feedback, and communicating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. This role involves introducing and leading company change efforts, setting clear expectations, and guiding the implementation of business solutions. The coach models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, manages customer service initiatives, resolves customer issues, and develops action plans for improvement to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Key responsibilities include driving financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and expense control, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes, and implementing actions to mitigate shrink. The position also involves providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and fostering a culture of belonging. The coach coordinates and oversees job-related activities, builds relationships with stakeholders, supports business initiatives, identifies goals, measures progress, and promotes continuous learning.
