The Food Captain is responsible for ensuring all food operational execution in the store is followed to maximize sales and reduce waste. This role involves training, teaching, and coaching store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service. The Food Captain will be the go-to person for employees with questions related to food products and services, and will plan and execute food sampling. They will also conduct and lead in-store training on new Foodservice programs, follow up with refresher training, and ensure foodservice areas are stocked and food is rotated using the FIFO method. Additionally, the Food Captain will ensure food items are displayed according to the current Planogram, monitor shrink while improving sales to maximize foodservice profit, and collaborate with BUQAS training personnel to ensure training programs are delivered effectively. They will also conduct needs analysis and provide recommended actions based on BUQAS visits, and operate within budgeted expectations.
