The Food Captain is responsible for ensuring all food operational execution in the store is followed to maximize sales and reduce waste. This role involves training, teaching, and coaching store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service. The Food Captain will be the go-to person in the store for employees with questions related to food products and services, and will plan and execute food sampling for employees and customers. They will also conduct and lead in-store training for store employees and operation teams on all new Foodservice programs, modeling an established train the trainer program, and follow up with refresher training activities as needed. Ensuring foodservice areas are stocked and food is rotated using the FIFO method, and that food items are displayed according to current Planograms are key responsibilities. The Food Captain will monitor shrink while improving sales to maximize foodservice profit, and collaborate with BUQAS training personnel to ensure training programs are delivered effectively. This role also includes ensuring food safety practices and procedures are followed and conducting needs analysis based on BUQAS visits.
