The Food Captain will be responsible for ensuring all food operational execution in the store to maximize sales and reduce waste. This role involves training, teaching, and coaching store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service. The Food Captain will also be the go-to person for food-related questions, plan and execute food sampling, conduct and lead in-store training on new Foodservice programs, and ensure foodservice areas are stocked and food is rotated using the FIFO method. Additionally, they will manage food item displays according to planograms, order food products to minimize out-of-stocks and improve shrink, monitor shrink while improving sales to maximize foodservice profit, and collaborate with training personnel to ensure effective training programs.
