The Food Captain is responsible for ensuring all food operational execution in the store to maximize sales and reduce waste. This role involves training, teaching, and coaching store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service. The Food Captain will be the go-to person for employees with questions related to food products and services, and will plan and execute food sampling. They will also conduct and lead in-store training for employees and operation teams on new Foodservice programs, following an established train-the-trainer model, and provide refresher training as needed. The role requires ensuring foodservice areas are stocked and food is rotated using the FIFO method, and that food items are displayed according to the current Planogram. The Food Captain will monitor shrink while improving sales to maximize foodservice profit, and collaborate with BUQAS training personnel to ensure training programs are delivered effectively. They will also conduct needs analysis and provide recommended actions based on BUQAS visits, and operate within budgeted expectations.
