Requirements

  • Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
  • Hold a valid TABC license
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.

Responsibilities

  • Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking and delivery of any food and/or beverage items.
  • Responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing excellent guest service.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the bar area, handles payments, and ensures guests have an enjoyable experience.
  • Provides friendly and attentive service to guests by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Supports the restaurant team by clearing and resetting tables, delivering food, assisting servers, and helping maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Greets guests, manages seating arrangements, answers phones, and helps create a welcoming and positive first impression for all guests.
  • Assists with various restaurant and banquet operations including guest service, food delivery, setup, cleanup, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Supports bartenders by stocking supplies, replenishing ice and glassware, and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar.
