About The Position

Responsible for overseeing the Food & Beverage Operation in the food and beverage outlets. This role involves understanding current trends and operational financials, active oversight of beverage service activities, and direct responsibility for all outlet beverage functions. The manager is expected to bring fresh and trendy ideas to beverage offerings, including new cocktail recipes, liquor trends, promotions, and marketing, to stay competitive with local establishments. Key duties include managing out-of-stock items, ensuring par stocks are maintained, and maintaining efficient storeroom inventory control. The role also includes training beverage service staff on service, bar management, and cleanliness, as well as efficiently utilizing labor hours through effective scheduling. Participation in month-end beverage inventory, weekly par checks, and ordering is required. The manager will also prepare requisitions, verify supplies, develop guest service initiatives, and handle hiring, onboarding, training, development, and disciplinary actions for associates. Ensuring associate uniforms and appearance meet company standards and performing positive up-selling techniques are also part of the role. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work all shifts including AM’s, PM’s, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have strong communication and analytic skills as well as the ability to drive the team towards a common goal.
  • Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters required.
  • Knowledge of KY liquor laws.
  • Strong familiarity with beer, wine and spirits; local knowledge preferred.
  • Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to teach employees importance of and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests.
  • Able to set priorities for the team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing a high volume of orders and guest requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be STAR & Food Handler certified.
  • ServSafe Manager certification required.
  • Move, bend, push, pull, lift, carry and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion, including frequent bending, twisting and extending arms overhead.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years of Beverage or Food & Beverage Management experience preferred.

  • Actively participate in month end beverage inventory, weekly par checks, and weekly ordering.
  • Prepare requisitions and verify supplies and food items for production in work stations.
  • Develop and implement successful guest service initiatives.
  • Hire, onboard, train, develop, and provide counseling and corrective discipline to associates.
  • Ensure all associate uniforms and appearance meet the requirements of Omni Hotels & Resorts.
  • Constantly perform positive up-selling techniques with service staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
