About The Position

The Country Club at DC Ranch is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a polished, hands-on hospitality professional who is passionate about leading teams, creating memorable member experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service. The Food & Beverage Manager will play an integral role in the day-to-day leadership of the dining operations, including the Clubhouse and Ranch House. Working closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team, this position will oversee service execution, employee training and development, member relations, scheduling, and daily outlet operations while helping foster a positive, accountable, and service-driven culture. The ideal candidate is a confident and approachable leader who leads by example, understands the expectations of an upscale private club or luxury hospitality environment, and knows how to balance operational excellence with genuine, personalized service. They should be able to build strong relationships with both members and employees, coach and develop a high-performing team, and remain composed and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business, or a related field preferred; current hospitality students and candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered
  • Previous experience in food & beverage, restaurants, private clubs, resorts, hotels, or customer service preferred
  • A demonstrated interest in pursuing a leadership career within Food & Beverage or hospitality operations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced service environment
  • Ability to accept coaching, apply feedback, and adapt to different operations and leadership styles
  • Ability to build positive relationships with Members, guests, employees, and Club leaders
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with hospitality POS or scheduling systems is a plus
  • Food-safety and responsible alcohol-service certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Food & Beverage operations, including opening and closing procedures, outlet readiness, pre-shift meetings, floor supervision, service execution, and shift transitions
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout service, actively engaging with Members and guests to ensure attentive, personalized, and consistent experiences
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop Food & Beverage employees while establishing clear expectations and maintaining accountability for performance and service standards
  • Support employee recruitment, onboarding, training, recognition, performance management, and ongoing professional development
  • Create and manage employee schedules and staffing plans based on anticipated business levels, operational needs, labor productivity, and employee availability
  • Monitor timekeeping, payroll, labor costs, overtime, and daily staffing needs, making adjustments as necessary to support operational and financial objectives
  • Oversee service standards, menu knowledge, POS procedures, safety practices, sanitation requirements, responsible alcohol service, and departmental SOPs
  • Proactively address Member feedback and service recovery needs, resolving concerns professionally and identifying opportunities to continuously improve the Member experience
  • Manage inventory, receiving, product storage, supplies, purchasing, waste controls, and other operational expenses
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of departmental financial performance, including budgets, P&L statements, labor costs, inventory, cost controls, and productivity
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining and service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, presentation, and operational readiness
  • Support the planning and execution of Club events, holiday functions, Member activations, menu rollouts, private parties, and other Food & Beverage programming
  • Collaborate closely with Culinary, Beverage, Events, Golf, and other Club departments to ensure seamless communication and execution
  • Maintain accurate POS procedures, reservations, daily reporting, payroll and timekeeping records, and other required operational documentation
  • Serve as Manager on Duty for assigned dining periods, Club events, and Food & Beverage operations as needed
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture aligned with the Club’s values and commitment to exceptional Member service
  • Participate in departmental and Club leadership meetings and contribute to operational planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
