About The Position

The Food and Beverage Associate will be responsible for providing excellent guest service as it pertains to the food and beverage outlets of resort. This role will promptly address guest service needs, complete food orders and requests, clean and stock all areas based on inventory control. The F&B Associate will ensure orders are taken accurately and completely and offer ideas and suggestions to guests when ordering. This role will ensure the packaged products are stocked, maintain cleanliness of all food and beverage areas, assist in preparation of food orders. This role will maintain the company’s expected high quality standards and will follow all safety protocols as dictated by company policy and maintain Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards at all times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
  • Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to give high priority to customer service
  • Ability to solve problems with a minimum of guidance
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and a Can-Do, positive attitude towards all guests and staff
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive customer and associate relationships: Respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction. Handle guest issues to resolution in effort to improve the guest experience and escalate any outstanding guest inquiry or concerns to the supervisor or management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up. Make appropriate service recovery recommendations. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with: SC DHEC and Dept of Agriculture standards, Internal Audit, Quality Assurance, Loss Prevention, Resort Operating Procedures, Department Operating Procedure, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Proficient with POS system, Comply with all internal accounting and control procedures.
  • Assist in achieving maximum food and beverage sales by Always striving to up-sell to achieve higher sales.
  • Ensure all operating equipment in related working area is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products.
  • Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise, attend meetings, briefings and training sessions as required, and use the company timestamp system to accurately record commencement, breaks and finishing times of each shift.
  • Minor maintenance of bicycles such as adjusting the seat, air pressure in tires, etc.
  • Deliver and pick up bicycles for guests.
  • Operate a golf cart safely and efficiently: Responsible for notifying manager/supervisor of potential problems and reports accidents or other safety situations. Inspect exterior and interior of golf cart at beginning of each shift. Responsible for ensuring inside and outside of carts are properly cleaned and battery fluids at proper levels on an ongoing basis.
  • Set up beach lounge chairs/umbrellas and clean cabana area as needed.
  • Conduct pool safety and compliance checks. Notify manager/supervisor of potential problems and reports accidents or other safety situations.
