About The Position

Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of Food & Beverage employees at The Vic Bar + Kitchen at The Victory Club, ensuring courteous, efficient and professional service for members and guests. This position supports restaurant, bar and patio operations in alignment with the standards, policies and service expectations of Century Golf Partners and Verrado Golf Club. Additional duties may be assigned as required. There will be shifts where you will be a bartender, paid at Minimum Wage plus Tips.

Requirements

  • One or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bartender background
  • Computer literate and proficient in POS software as it relates to this position
  • Must have current Food Handler’s Certificate as well as Arizona Title 4 Liquor Training Certification

Responsibilities

  • Opening Shifts: Unlock doors, Count and Balance Banks (ensure bar drawer has the correct change), set music to correct levels, make sure the restaurant and patio are properly set, check all lighting, set up POS stations, do a thorough walk-thru from the night before to ensure restaurant cleanliness.
  • Supervise the assigned shift, ensuring that service staff deliver the product correctly and in a timely manner. If ticket times are out of normal range, meet with the kitchen supervisor to help correct the situation.
  • Respond to shift changes as they occur; whether it be covering shifts where someone calls off, or cutting employees as necessary, ensuring superior guest service.
  • Ensure that all before and after-shift side work is done properly and thoroughly.
  • Approve transactions as required; assist servers with their closing, counts and drops as required. If you are the closing manager, perform closing duties, prepare bank deposit and drop.
  • When closing, ensure proper Z-outs are completed, the cash drop is balanced, bank deposit slips are properly filled out, doors are secured, the pool gate is secured, no service ware is left outside or in soft seating areas, lawn games are put away, and all side work duties and checklists are adhered to. Verify all closing and side work duties in person before team members may leave for the night.
  • To ensure a smooth transition to the next shift supervisor, meet with them face to face to discuss any outstanding issues, orders, or challenges that might exist as you are leaving. If this is not possible, accomplish this by e-mailing or leaving notes for the next shift supervisor.
  • Approach all encounters with members, guests and fellow employees in a gracious, attentive, courteous and service-oriented manner. Resolve any issues that arise. Report any incidents that might need further management follow-through.
  • Supervise the hostess staff, ensuring proper greeting and seating procedures are being followed.
  • Be aware of events, reservations or bookings that will affect The Vic Bar + Kitchen at The Victory Club operations on the shift you are supervising. Look ahead to identify any set-up requirements expected for the next shift or day.
  • Conduct all business as an ambassador of Century Golf Partners, Verrado Golf Club and The Vic Bar + Kitchen at The Victory Club, demonstrating integrity, professionalism and a service-first attitude always.
  • Keep fiscal responsibility and guest satisfaction in mind when making all decisions
  • Take part in keeping The Vic Bar + Kitchen at The Victory Club clean, organized and litter free. Cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility; take ownership in maintaining the standards of the outlet, the Club and the overall guest experience.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Century Golf Partners and Verrado Golf Club standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of The Vic Bar + Kitchen at The Victory Club. Employees may need to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club.
  • Always comply with Century Golf Partners and Verrado Golf Club standards, policies and regulations to encourage safe, efficient and professional operations.
  • Maintain professional relationship with guests - Refrain from discussing company or personal business with any annual pass holders or guests
  • Be aware of current events, programs and community events to ensure you provide current and detailed information to guests
  • Participate in staff meetings, training and team efforts as requested.
  • Comply with all Century Golf Partners, Verrado Golf Club and Food & Beverage policies and procedures; assist in enforcing service standards and Club policies for The Vic Bar + Kitchen at The Victory Club.
  • Performs other duties as required by your manager
