About The Position

Mira Vista Country Club is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Service Director to lead and elevate our Ala Carte dining operations. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for creating exceptional member dining experiences through operational excellence, team development, and elevated service standards. The ideal candidate is a polished hospitality professional with a passion for leadership, member engagement, and creating a culture of accountability and excellence. This role works closely with culinary leadership and Clubhouse management to ensure seamless dining experiences across all member-facing outlets.

  • Experience managing beverage programs and inventory

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of food & beverage management experience
  • Private club or upscale dining experience strongly preferred
  • Proven success in staff development and hospitality leadership
  • Sommelier Certification (Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Jonas POS systems is a plus
  • TABC Certification
  • Food Handler Manager Certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily front-of-house dining operations with a strong floor presence during service
  • Build meaningful relationships with members and ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Oversee reservations, pacing, service timing, and dining room flow
  • Coach and mentor service teams in real time to maintain elevated hospitality standards
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu execution and dining strategies
  • Support banquet and event service operations as needed
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate front-of-house staff
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing hospitality education
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on professionalism and retention
  • Develop future leaders through hands-on coaching and mentorship
  • Manage all food & beverage functions within the Jonas POS system, including: Menu updates and pricing, Staff permissions and table configurations, Reporting and operational analysis
  • Train staff on POS procedures and troubleshooting
  • Partner with Accounting and IT to ensure accurate reporting and system functionality
  • Oversee beverage operations including inventory, vendor relationships, and pricing
  • Maintain wine lists and seasonal cocktail offerings
  • Conduct monthly beverage inventories and monitor loss prevention
  • Lead beverage education and tasting sessions for service staff
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and safety standards
  • Assist with budgeting and financial oversight for dining and beverage operations
  • Implement systems that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate service consistency
  • Maintain compliance with sanitation, safety, and operational standards
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings and serve as Manager-on-Duty when needed
