The Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor is responsible for the administration, coordination, and day-to-day oversight of food and beverage operations across assigned Culture, Parks and Recreation facilities, including recreation concessions, licensed beverage service, and event-based food and beverage operations. Reporting to the Special Events Manager, this position supervises part-time and seasonal staff, oversees concession operations, administers licensed beverage activities, and provides operational support for recreation programming, entertainment venues, athletic facilities, and special events. The Supervisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining operational standards that promote consistency, safety, customer service, and financial accountability across multiple facilities. Responsibilities include operational planning, inventory management, purchasing, vendor coordination, budgeting, revenue monitoring, and the development of procedures that support efficient daily operations while meeting departmental objectives and applicable regulatory requirements. This position serves as the department's operational resource for liquor licensing and alcohol compliance, coordinating the research, application, implementation, renewal, modification, and administration of liquor licenses and permits as operational needs evolve. The Supervisor works collaboratively with internal departments, regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and event organizers to support licensed operations and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. In addition to daily operational responsibilities, the Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor evaluates operational performance, identifies opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency, and recommends enhancements that support long-term sustainability and growth of the department's food and beverage operations. The position exercises independent judgment in coordinating assigned operations, resolving operational issues, prioritizing workload, and recommending improvements while supporting departmental goals, policies, and strategic initiatives.
