About The Position

Kentucky Kingdom Theme and Water Park is seeking a Food and Beverage Operations Manager to lead the Foods Division. This role is responsible for ensuring a high-quality food and beverage experience, achieving financial goals, and maintaining brand standards. The manager will lead direct reports through coaching and feedback, manage the P&L for their area of responsibility, and focus on exceptional guest service to drive loyalty and repeat business. Safety is a key component, requiring compliance with all safety regulations and training. The role also involves collaborating with HR on staffing, managing labor deployment, and fostering a positive and engaging work environment for all hosts. This position requires flexibility in working days, hours, locations, and properties, and may involve additional duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 20 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Multi Unit Service Management experience preferred.
  • A proven track record of advancement to higher levels of management required with experience in the theme park, tourism, hospitality or entertainment industry preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and a proven track record of strong financial growth.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation.
  • ServSafe Manager certified or the ability to become ServSafe, Allertrain, and TIPS certified within the first 30 working days.
  • Ability to successfully complete background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary School Diploma or Degree in Food Service Management or related field highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Director with leading the Foods Division, ensuring a high-quality food and beverage experience while achieving budgeted revenue, cost and profit goals and maintaining brand standards.
  • Leads direct reports by coaching, empowering, and providing feedback to ensure accountability for individual results.
  • Ownership of area of responsibility P&L, business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Reviews period P&L’s for the division. Participates in period-end P&L meetings and prepares action plans for improvement as necessary.
  • Ensures a high level of guest service at all touch points, exceeding brand standards and expectations resulting in guest loyalty, referrals and repeat business. Responsible for creatively engaging guests and striving for consistently improved guest NPS.
  • Leads safety efforts for the Foods Division by ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, e.g., attending safety meetings, ensuring leadership completes accurate daily temp logs, following all food handling and storage requirements, reviewing monthly safety audits, and ensuring safety critical host training compliance.
  • Communicates staffing needs and clearance reports to HR partners in a timely manner and collaborates with scheduling team to ensure schedules are timely completed and budgeted labor percentage is achieved.
  • Leads the deployment of labor across multiple outlets with the ability to react to changes in attendance and adjust labor accordingly.

  • Coaches and praises Hosts effectively and timely and provides honest and timely evaluations and feedback.
  • Monitors POS procedures to ensure procedures are followed.
  • Ensures all weekly inventories are completed accurately.
  • Develops and executes action plans to address business shortfalls.
  • Assists in researching and purchasing supplies for the department.
  • Responsible for maintenance programs in park, including outside vendors.
  • Monitors department and park operations when serving as Person in Charge for the Foods Division.
  • Assists with developing and updating plans regarding restaurant operations, performance evaluations, job descriptions, management policies, operating practices and procedures, and budgets.
  • Maintains flexibility in working days, hours, locations, and properties.
  • Performs additional duties and makes decisions as requested.
  • Responsible for completing credit card transactions in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
