About The Position

Legends Global is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the overall management and operation of a facility. This role involves responsibility for purchasing, booking, food and beverage, box office, security, maintenance, parking, and related operations. The manager will maintain active contact with the Client/Contract Administrator, monitor contract compliance, and build relationships with clients, sponsors, and related staff. The position requires establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including tenants, government departments, and industry organizations, to encourage facility use. The manager will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and administration of plans and programs related to training, safety, emergency procedures, crowd control, and crisis management. They will prepare and maintain reports for the Client/Contract Administrator and Corporate Office, and plan, organize, coordinate, and direct personnel in facility maintenance and operations. Weekly staff and production meetings will be conducted, along with overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating plans, programs, and events, and conducting post-event reviews. Maintaining the integrity of the facility and Legends in all communications and contacts is crucial. The role ensures that personnel administration and plant/facility operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The manager will evaluate facility practices, recommend improvements for client needs and operational efficiency/safety, and recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative and supervisory staff. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with tenants, employees, local labor vendors, and the general public is also a key responsibility. The manager will oversee the day-of Food & Beverage execution and quality, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year accredited college or university with major course work in business or public administration or related fields facility of similar size and description or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, business law, purchasing procedures, and supervising personnel.
  • Experience in labor relations and union contracts, if applicable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
  • Ability to work simultaneously with a broad variety of vested interest groups and to foster a cooperative environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices used in the successful management of entertainment facilities of a similar description.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and implement immediate corrective action.
  • Ability to perform effectively under significant pressure typically associated with meeting the demands and timetables of the entertainment industry.
  • Considerable knowledge of event solicitation and presentation, and event planning.
  • Considerable knowledge of safety regulations and other federal, state, or local laws and regulations.
  • Strong orientation towards hospitality/customer service for the events and entertainment industry.
  • Basic knowledge of facility operating standards, building maintenance, custodial, personnel and office management.
  • Some knowledge of computers; knowledge of Spreadsheets and Word Processing and standard office equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains active contact with the Client/Contract Administrator.
  • Monitors Legends compliance with all provisions of the services contract.
  • Maintains relationship with all of client's companies, sponsors, and related staff.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the Client/Contract Administrator, tenants, government departments and agencies, entertainment/convention industry, community, and civic organizations to encourage continual and regular use of the facility.
  • Assures the coordination, implementation and administration of specific plans and programs to include matters of training and development, safety/emergency procedures, crowd control and crisis management procedures, or other areas as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains required and necessary reports/records for the Client/Contract Administrator and for the Corporate Office.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs a range of activities and personnel engaged in maintaining and operating the facility.
  • Conducts weekly staff and production meetings.
  • Provides for control of day-to-day operations; assuring the coordination of plans, programs, and events; conducts post-event operational and financial review.
  • Assures and maintains the integrity of the facility and Legends in all forms of communication and personal contacts.
  • Assures the administration of personnel and the operation of plant and facilities are conducted in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Evaluates facility practices and recommends improvements to better reflect the needs of the Client and the facility, and/or to improve the efficiency and safety of operations, in compliance with Legends policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating administrative and supervisory staff.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the tenants, employees, local labor vendors and the general public.
  • Oversee the day of Food & Beverage execution and quality.
  • All other duties as assigned.
