About The Position

As a Food & Beverage Host at our casino, you will be one of the first points of contact for our valued guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient communication between the front-of-house staff and the kitchen team. You will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Completion of Orientation and safety trainings
  • Additional trainings as assigned
  • Black nonslip shoes
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred and/or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
  • RBS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino.
  • Food handler’s permit from a relevant government agency.
  • Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a consistent, attentive and friendly service experience.
  • Welcomes and escorts patrons to their assigned tables.
  • Double checks cleanliness of table, chairs, and utensils
  • Provides menus to guests and knowledge of any special menu items.
  • Alerts server about new patrons in their section.
  • Tracks table rotations and special seating requests.
  • Helps bus tables as needed.
  • Tracks and records seating sequence and special requests (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.).
  • Maintains assigned workstation and section in a clean and organized manner.
  • Able to maintain a hospitable and team atmosphere with guests and team members.
  • Helps to serves alcohol beverages and food to guests, following RBS guidelines if requested.
  • Inspects restaurant area for neatness and cleanliness of all dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
  • Uses time on the floor to check on service experience of patrons.
  • Relays any guest remarks to Room Manager or Shift Supervisor.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
