About The Position

The Food & Beverage team at Target ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining fresh, in-stock, available, and accurately priced products on the sales floor. They are experts in operations, process, and efficiency, managing food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing for all Food & Beverage areas. This role offers opportunities to build skills in guest service, food and beverage business fundamentals, understanding food seasonality and safety, and merchandising. Team members work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on the guest experience, executing standards and best practices through individual assignments and task execution.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only)
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
Work both independently and with a team
Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
Interpret instructions, reports and information.
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
Climb up and down ladders if needed.
Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)

Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
Execute Food & Beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and organizing and storing reserve product.
Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.
Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
Work with vendors to proactively set, maintain and make planned changes to salesfloor merchandise displays and to keep organized backroom space.
Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to Target’s policies and procedures.
Execute all federal, state and local adult beverage laws as they apply to your business.
Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines.
Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
