About The Position

The Food and Beverage Director will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations within our prestigious hotel, The Embassy Suites at Jacksonville Baymeadows. Ensuring the highest levels of service, quality, and guest satisfaction will be the top priority. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and managing daily operations to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a keen understanding of market trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Proven track record of successful financial management and operational oversight.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends, cost control, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, POS systems, inventory management tools).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement food and beverage strategies aligned with the hotel's vision and goals.
  • Create and execute menus and beverage offerings that appeal to guests and meet revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and banquets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for food and beverage departments.
  • Monitor and control inventory, ordering, and waste to achieve financial targets.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions to enhance profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain service standards and training programs to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally to resolve issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate guest satisfaction metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and promote special events, promotions, and seasonal menus.
  • Utilize social media, local partnerships, and other channels to drive traffic and increase visibility.
  • Ensure brand consistency and adherence to the hotel's standards in all marketing materials.
