About The Position

FOLX Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their Clinical team. The role involves providing evidence-based clinical care to members, focusing on the LGBTQIA+ community. FOLX Health aims to be the leading health and wellness platform for LGBTQIA+ care, offering comprehensive services both virtually and in-person. As a FOLX Clinician, you will deliver clinical care through a telehealth platform, including services for trans/nonbinary gender-affirming hormone therapy, sexual and reproductive health, primary care, and mental health care. Care is provided synchronously via audio/visual format and asynchronously through lab reviewing, resulting, and answering member questions. The role includes regular time for case study discussions and clinical training sessions.

Requirements

  • Multiple active state NP licenses (Ideal state licenses include: GA, CA, TX, PA, NJ, OH, NC, NY, IL)
  • At least 1 state specific Federal DEA license
  • Active Controlled Substance Registration/Licensure if required in your state(s) of practice
  • Master's degree or equivalent from a college or university
  • National Certification through appropriate licensing authority
  • Experience in providing primary care
  • Clinical experience serving the LGBTQAI+ community
  • Organizational and time management skills that allow for timely completion of charts and member care in a remote work environment
  • Self-motivation, independence, and willingness to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to learn new apps, programs, and proficiency with virtual meeting platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal but not required: Compact RN license (expedites NP licensing in any compact states)
  • Ideal but not required: 30 contact hours Continuing Education or a 15 week college level course in pharmacology within the last 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Providing clinical care to members (patients) through a telehealth platform.

  • Conducting synchronous clinical visits through audio/visual format.
  • Conducting asynchronous clinical work, including lab reviewing and resulting, and answering member questions.
  • Discussing case studies with the clinical team.
  • Attending clinical training sessions.
