About The Position

The 21st CCLC Classified Instructor provides direct instructional and enrichment support to students participating in the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. The position assists with the delivery of structured academic, enrichment, and skill-building activities during out-of-school-time programming, including before-school, after-school, intersession, and summer programs. The Classified Instructor works independently or under the direction of the Site Coordinator and/or certified instructional staff to facilitate planned learning activities that support the goals and objectives of the 21st CCLC grant.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to facilitate structured academic and enrichment activities.
  • Ability to work effectively with students individually and in small or large groups.
  • Ability to follow lesson plans, activity plans, curriculum, and program guidelines.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with school-age children
  • Experience in out of school, summer learning, or expanded learning programs.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities
