About The Position

At Sheridan Lebanon Junction, your work helps transform printed sheets into books, catalogs, magazines, and other products used by people across the country. As a Folder Operator, you'll play an important role in the finishing process by ensuring printed materials are folded accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with equipment, and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to meet you. Previous folder experience is a plus, but we're willing to train someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Have mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with equipment.
  • Can work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Can read and follow written job instructions and production specifications.
  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, or gauges.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating folder machines or other bindery equipment.
  • Experience in printing, bindery, or manufacturing.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting or equipment maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with production documentation or job tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate bindery folder machines according to work orders and job tickets.
  • Read and interpret job specifications, including paper type, size, fold style, and quantity.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate folds, alignment, and registration.
  • Monitor production and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform quality checks throughout production to ensure finished products meet customer and company standards.
  • Complete routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance of folding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance or supervision when needed.
  • Complete production records and job documentation accurately.
  • Work closely with press, bindery, and quality teams to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with other production duties and special projects as needed.
