About The Position

Mt. Bachelor FOH Support Staff play a big role in the FOH’s success. The FOH Support Staff work alongside the bartenders and servers to ensure a smooth operation. Primary responsibilities are to assist with the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of the bar and dining room. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about the hospitality industry and is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced bar environment.

Requirements

  • OLCC and Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
  • Must be proficient with POS systems.
  • Must be able to change and/or move full kegs of beer.
  • Able to stand and move around quickly for long periods of time.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Flexible with hours and days of work.
  • Able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superb customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to shovel snow, lift up to 10 pounds, and walk on steep and uneven surfaces.
  • Frequently bend, reach, climb, push, pull, lift over 50 pounds, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequent visual concentration, rapid reactions to changes, and the utilization of hand/eye coordination.
  • Minimum Age Requirement: 18+

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every guest, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the service process promptly.
  • Set up and break down for each shift.
  • Reset tables according to the specifications of the restaurant.
  • Remove plates and silverware when all guests have finished.
  • Sort individual rubbish items into respective recycling receptacles.
  • Sort service ware and prep for dishwasher.
  • Maintain service stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.
  • Be familiar with all menu items, products, sides, dressings, sauces, toppings, garnishes, and most importantly, food allergies.
  • Accurately prepare all orders according to the ticket.
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
  • Be the bridge between FOH and BOH regarding food orders by communicating clearly with the kitchen and wait staff.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as well as rotate and keep products stocked throughout the day.
  • Clean and sanitize service stations and keep them in an orderly manner throughout the shift.
  • Advise Management when certain products are running low and need to be reordered.
  • Have working knowledge of restaurant terms and requests for both BOH and FOH.
  • Be aware of ticket times and server pickup times.
  • Maintain the host stand clean and orderly throughout the shift.
  • Food and Beverage Displays should be neat, attractive, and well-organized.
  • Providing guests with menus and cleaning/sanitizing them once they are returned to the host stand.
  • Refill water stations and help keep guest areas properly stocked.
  • Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff.
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
  • Have a pleasant demeanor and work well as a team with other staff members.
  • Performs all opening and closing side work as required.
  • Willing to cross-train at multiple stations and support all functions as needed.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Accountable for accurate time keeping.
  • Responsible for clocking in and out with their employee pass.
  • Completes any reasonable task assigned by the supervisor.
  • Observe mountain-wide policies found in the Employee Handbook.
  • Assist management with the set-up and breakdown of all special events.
