About The Position
This position involves performing radiographic exams for Interventional Pain/Vascular physicians and assisting providers during interventional/vascular procedures using a C-arm. The role requires proficiency in patient care, a strong knowledge of radiography and positioning, and the ability to manage equipment and procedures effectively. Responsibilities include preparing sterile trays, ensuring proper patient positioning, maintaining radiation safety (ALARA), and performing equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Requirements
- A combination of technical, radiologic and clinical skill
- Completion of a JRCERT accredited certificate/degree program

Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams for Interventional Pain/ Vascular physicians or assist providers during interventional/ vascular procedures using a C-arm
- Training for Procedures responsible for
- Safely demonstrate proficiency in patient care skills as well as maintaining a superior knowledge of radiography and positioning
- Obtain all equipment needed for a procedure
- Position and image patients
- Resolve equipment issues and schedule machine repair/ maintenance
- Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and equipment operation
- Load PACS system with patient information for proper documentation
- Prepare sterile trays, drugs, and patient preparation for procedures
- Ensure proper patient positioning: prone vs. supine, use of cervical headrest and knowledge of procedures and protocols
- Demonstrate proper alignment of the C-arm for all procedures
- Apply patient wound dressings when applicable
- Stock, restock and ordering in clinic rooms as needed
- Perform monitoring of equipment including radiofrequency during patient treatment course
- Demonstrate proper use and disposal of biohazard materials and containers when applicable
- Responsible for cleaning bed/C-arm, helps clean room in between patients, and helps with RFNA probe cleaning and all equipment and tool sterilization
- Ensuring ALARA rules are being met in procedure room
- Maintaining and regularly scanning lead garments for viability
- Stay up to date on Continuing Education courses
