About The Position

Valmet is seeking a talented Fluids Engineer to join their team, focusing on the design of hydraulic and pneumatic systems within the pulp & paper industry. The role involves creating technical documentation, selecting components, and performing engineering calculations to support customer solutions. Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from a four-year college or university
• A minimum of four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must understand fluid circuit design
• Ability to use AutoCad
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Some paper industry experience
• Heavy industrial equipment experience preferred
• Cadmatic experience is a plus but not required
• Self-motivated and enjoy learning new things

Responsibilities

• Create circuit drawings and piping diagrams
• Create valve panel assembly drawings
• Work with component selection and create installation task lists
• Responsible for system sizing (hydraulic power units, valves, pipes)
• Engineering calculations for flow and pressure
• Participate in FAT and start-ups as required
