About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. A successful candidate will understand fluid systems, fluid dynamics, and compressible and incompressible flow for space vehicles. The position will work under a senior engineer accountable for the Reaction Control System (RCS) within the Gas and Thrusters (G&T) team for a Lunar Permanence Vehicle. You will be responsible for design, analyses, procurement, installation, and test of the components and sub-assembly systems for the RCS sub-system. The position will be responsible for valves, bottles, filters, sensors, piping and other fluids equipment for this portion of the RCS sub-system. Our team will size, select materials, and analyze components for structural integrity due to pressure, vibration, fracture, fatigue, etc. You will work with suppliers or Blue Origin groups to identify components and support procurement, fabrication, and installation. You will also manage the project plan for various hardware including cost and schedule for your sub-assembly. The position will work directly on our Transfer Stage Vehicle and will be on the ground floor of our operations and buildup at our Rocket Park Facility in Florida.
