About The Position

The Fluid Management Technician assists clients with fluids management, including the transportation and addition of chemicals. This role involves completing various tasks such as dropline, tote/drum, and day-tank additions, refilling totes, and performing pail additions. The technician is responsible for transporting all chemicals, including moving drums and totes, and unloading tankers. Work is guided by daily and emergency Fluids Management work orders.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 60-gallon pails.
  • Must be able to transport all chemicals, including drum/tote moves and tanker unloading.
  • Must be able to work from daily/emergency Fluids Management work orders.
  • Must be able to make chemical additions via dropline, tote/drum, and day-tank.
  • Must be able to refill totes.
  • Must be able to keep day-tanks full.
  • Must be able to remove all chemical supplies from the receiving dock and store them.
  • Must be able to move drums and totes to various locations.
  • Must be able to remove empty totes from the facility.
  • Must be able to load empty totes onto trucks.
  • Must be able to monitor the unloading of tankers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist client with transportation and additions of chemicals.
  • Complete dropline additions, ensuring accurate measurement using a working meter.
  • Perform tote or drum additions for systems not connected to drop lines or without working meters.
  • Refill day-tanks for central systems and washers, checking levels three times weekly.
  • Refill stand-alone totes from other totes or drop lines as communicated by Fluid Management.
  • Perform pail additions, which requires the ability to lift 60-gallon pails.
  • Transport all chemicals, including moving totes and drums to various locations.
  • Remove and store all chemical supplies from the receiving dock in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Replace empty totes with full ones and reassemble fittings.
  • Dispose of empty drums.
  • Coordinate the removal of empty totes from the facility for return to respective companies.
  • Load empty totes onto trucks for freight carriers.
  • Unload tankers by connecting to the appropriate tank and monitoring the transfer of chemicals to the tank farm.
