About The Position

As a Flow Cytometry intern, you will work with three of our departments responsible for the research, development, scale-up, and optimization of microbe products, processes, and technologies. Our teams are composed of scientists and researchers with diverse backgrounds that use a wide array of lab-, pilot-, and production-scale equipment, plus advanced data and digitalization tools, to develop and launch new products. We also collaborate with colleagues globally to take advantage of our combined knowledge in industrial microbiology. About the Role As a Flow Cytometry Intern, you will work alongside Scientists and Research Associates to develop and implement flow cytometry methods that provide valuable physiological insight for our fermentation experiments. Through this, you will gain exposure to the equipment and techniques and help us automate the workflow for rapid and robust measurement of several relevant phenotypes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in fermentation, process equipment, sensors, and programming controls
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sophomore standing or higher at the time of application
  • Ability to arrange your own housing and transportation
