Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Flow Cytometry Diagnostic Specialist Cell Immunology to join our team in Burlington, NC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
  • 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical diagnostic setting

Nice To Haves

  • ASCP or AMT certification
  • Strong understanding of immunophenotyping and diagnostic applications in hematologic disorders is preferred
  • Experience with flow cytometry software (e.g., FlowJo, Kaluza, FCS Express) is preferred
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA) in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and diagnostic instruments/software

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and implement new flow cytometry panels as needed for emerging diagnostic needs
  • Analyze and interpret multi-color flow cytometry data for diagnostic purposes, including hematologic malignancies, immune deficiencies, and monitoring of transplant patients
  • Maintain and troubleshoot flow cytometry instruments (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, or equivalent) to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
  • Prepare data summaries, reports and write SOPs.
  • Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff on flow cytometry techniques and analysis.
