About The Position

As the DSD Team Lead, you’ll guide and support the DSD Team through execution of the daily plan- completing unloading, scanning, and sorting of inbound product. Producing buckets of bouquets to quantity and quality targets. And reinforcing a strong safety and cleanliness culture. You’ll also be the primary fill-in to cover gaps in our production team or as a delivery driver for open routes when needed, helping keep our service consistent for our customers. Must be able to pass Federal DOT Drug exam and obtain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

  • Manage actual staffing vs. scheduled staffing, ensuring timely communication and alignment to daily work demands.
  • Oversee daily product flow including unloading, scanning, sorting, and tracking incoming product to ensure accuracy and alignment to daily production goals.
  • Execute the daily labor plan and make adjustments as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Complete required administrative and data management tasks within internal systems to support daily operations and reporting.
  • Support product picking, packing, staging, and truck loading for DSD routes.
  • Execute onboarding and training plans to align new hires with leadership expectations and delivery standards.
  • Ensure essential supplies and tools are stocked and available to the team.
  • Build strong partnerships with LBR store contacts, Sales, Product Management, and cross-functional departments by communicating key issues professionally and promptly.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through team stretching, training on relevant safety subjects, safe backing certifications, and immediate response to safety risks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and standard work audits to drive performance into targets and improve processes.
  • Lead the team in the execution of tasks: safe operation of DSD delivery vehicles, product care, and quality.
  • Complete daily delivery routes to quality and delivery standards; fill in on open routes when necessary.
