About The Position

Sunshine Bouquet Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floral Merchandiser to service our key clients. This individual will service different stores (not a set route) using a company-provided vehicle. They will be responsible for maintaining and merchandising high-volume fresh-cut flower displays. Floral Merchandisers represent our company and our products at the store level. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail and thrives under minimal supervision.

Requirements

Must be able to speak and understand Spanish as an essential function of the role. Job duties include regular, direct communication with Spanish-speaking customers, employees, and vendors.
Must be able to travel.
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements, as driving is an essential function of this role.
Ability to stand and move throughout the workday, including kneeling, squatting, and bending over, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to lift up to 35 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to work in environments with exposure to floral products, pollen, and related materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to follow planograms accurately when required.
High attention to detail when handling product.
Punctual and dependable.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some overtime, especially during peak floral holidays. Overtime is paid in accordance with federal and state law.
Strong communication skills with supervisors and clients.
Adherence to all safety protocols at all times.
Ability to comply with company policies regarding rest and meal periods.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required for all positions.
Experience supporting a field sales organization (highly preferred).
Prior experience in the floral industry (preferred)
Prior merchandising experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Checking floral product quality and ensuring display compliance.
Lead the reset of new floral departments for grand openings and store remodels.
Assist in training floral managers in "ordering to sales".
Maintenance and/or cleaning of displays, buckets and floral containers prior to merchandising as required.
Reworking of floral arrangements as needed to minimize shrinkage.
Training and evaluating floral leads on the proper execution of the merchandising plan.
Completing and submitting customer reports.
Access cold storage and warehouse area as needed.
Occasionally moving palletized product using a manual pallet jack.
Lifting and palletizing boxes when necessary.
Responsible for keeping their company-provided vehicle in an appropriate condition and communicating with fleet manager when their company vehicle is due for maintenance.
