About The Position

The Floral Manager oversees the daily operations of the Floral Department to ensure high standards of product quality, merchandising, customer service, and financial performance. This role is responsible for managing fresh floral inventory, department presentation, staffing, and compliance with company standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of floral care, plant handling, and arrangement techniques
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and creative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak floral seasons

Nice To Haves

  • Previous floral design, retail, or department leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Floral Department, including ordering, receiving, production, pricing, and merchandising
  • Ensure freshness, quality, and proper care of flowers and plants
  • Create and maintain attractive seasonal, promotional, and everyday floral displays
  • Lead, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate floral associates
  • Develop and produce floral arrangements, bouquets, and custom orders
  • Monitor sales, labor, shrink, and gross margin to meet department goals
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize waste through proper rotation and care
  • Provide outstanding customer service, including special orders and event arrangements
  • Ensure department cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment upkeep
  • Partner with store leadership to achieve operational and financial objectives
  • Complete required inventory, ordering, and operational reports
  • Follow company standards for floral handling, care, and merchandising
  • Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and chemicals
  • Maintain compliance with safety and loss prevention policies
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment
