About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Receives deliveries, stocks product, maintains product displays, designs floral arrangements, and reviews the status and appearance of merchandise for freshness. This role involves direct customer interaction, inventory management, and creative floral design.

Requirements

Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
Mental alertness for safe and accurate work.
Knowledge of basic mathematics and weights and measures.
Knowledge of produce variety, standards, perishability, product handling, sanitation, labeling, and department policies and procedures.
Operates telephones, knives, scissors, safety cutters, stem cutters, wire, staples, hot glue guns, spray paints, balloon heat sealing machines, and helium tanks.
Utilizes cleaning supplies and equipment.
Utilizes knives and safety cutters.
Requires use of latex gloves.
Good attendance is required.
Must be able to perform all job duties and responsibilities safely, accurately and with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
Receives deliveries and stocks product.
Maintains product displays and ensures proper merchandising.
Designs and assembles fresh and silk floral arrangements.
Reviews product for freshness and rotates stock.
Answers department telephone and assists customers with orders.
Works collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Performs daily record keeping and documentation.
Cleans floral equipment, merchandising vehicles, cases, floors, doors, walls, and storage areas.
Removes trash and disassembles packing boxes for baler.
Ensures department organization according to "5S" standards.
Inflates balloons for display and customer requests.
Cuts, trims, and wraps flowers and foliage.
Checks invoices against delivered products and supplies.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Reports to work on time as scheduled.
Removes potential hazards from the sales floor.
Implements correct product preparation techniques.
Operates related equipment such as pallet jack, hand truck, scissors, knives, safety cutters, stem cutters, wire, hot glue guns, spray paint, balloon heat sealing machines, and helium tanks.
Assists customers by making product suggestions and engaging in suggestive selling.
Makes intercom announcements.
Ensures safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of work area, cooler, equipment, and display area.
Performs all job duties and responsibilities safely, accurately, and with honesty and integrity.
Updates price changes, department décor for seasonal merchandising, and reloads supplies.
Cuts, trims, and wraps flowers and foliage as necessary.
