About The Position

Assist with designing and merchandising floral items and arrangements for display, sale, and customer requests while providing customer service. The role includes preparing flowers and arrangements, maintaining plants, filling balloons, supporting department merchandising, and keeping merchandise, supplies, tools, and work areas organized and safe. Requirements

Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
Ability to multitask, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all levels of the organization.
Personal initiative and follow-through to completion.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer service related to merchandise sales.
Ability to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and provide great service.
Interact in a prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional manner.
Help design and create floral arrangements and other items to fill customer orders.
Package orders effectively, safely, and efficiently.
Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
Maintain customer records and files properly.
Help customers locate and select items.
Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
Assist with decorating and merchandising the department.
Keep carts, tools, and supplies in designated areas and well organized.
Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
Maintain plants, process and prepare flower arrangements, and fill balloons.
Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
Follow company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
Operate the cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
