About The Position
This role is responsible for creating an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for customers by managing floral displays, assisting clients with selections, and coordinating deliveries. The position involves receiving and preparing flowers, advising customers on floral combinations and occasion-specific suggestions, arranging bouquets, and packaging flowers for purchase. Additionally, the Floral Clerk will instruct clients on proper flower care and transportation, coordinate regional flower deliveries, and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Candidates must be 18+ years or older
- Complete a pre-employment background check
Nice To Haves
- Passion for flowers, plants and floral design
- Familiarity with plants' nutritional needs and life spans
- Knowledge about flower handling techniques
- Previous experience in a floral department or similar position
- Completion of a Botany-related course is highly advantageous
Responsibilities
- Creating an all around enjoyable shopping experience for our customers
- Receiving shipments, and then snipping and displaying our flowers
- Topping up watering solutions to enhance our flowers' life spans
- Advising clients on possible flower combinations
- Providing occasion-specific flower suggestions
- Carefully arranging palatable bouquets for purchase
- Packaging clients' flowers to prevent breakages
- Instructing clients on suitable transporting and feeding processes
- Coordinating all regional flower deliveries
- Performing other duties as assigned
