About The Position

A Floral clerk at Carlie C’s IGA realizes that providing prompt and friendly customer service is priority #1. Being courteous and cooperative with both customer and coworker is a critical aspect of maximizing sales and building business for years to come. As a Floral clerk, you'll need to have good working knowledge of plants and flowers, know how to tie bows, and how to put together attractive arrangements that our customers will want to purchase for themselves and as gifts. How well you perform these things and more will determine how successful you are.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be friendly, outgoing, neat and clean in appearance.
• Must enjoy working with the public.
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop and handle up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to write invoices and maintain appropriate paperwork.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Floral experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in refrigerated areas
• Ability to deal with sudden temperature change.
• Check quality of flowers, making sure of proper rotation.
• Prepare flower and plant arrangements for sale.
• Sales area and back room must be kept clean, and free of clutter.
• Order flowers and plants and also buy locally.
• Help customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Observe Carlie C's uniform standards and maintain a neat and clean appearance.
